Iodine Clock Reaction Lab
For the Iodine Clock Reaction Lab, we were paired into partnerships to perform an experiment involving the rates of multiple chemicals in a solution with different concentrations of those substances. The objective was to alter the original concentrations of the mixtures to where an evident reaction would take place between 114 - 126 seconds after two solutions were combined into one beaker. After a trial, we would record our findings, and choose one chemical to continue changing throughout the rest of the experiment, and observe what effect our actions had on the appearance of the solution. To prepare us for this lab, we learned about chemical reactions, and the idea of reactants to products so that we could be more knowledgeable about the concept as a whole going into the exercise.
Below, you will find my lab report that I wrote after the experiment. Enjoy!
