Naturally Enlightened
For this project, we were to research a prominent philosopher from history, and we compared their ideas with others with similar or contrasting views on human nature. I studied American philosopher Adam Smith, who did quite a bit of groundbreaking work on his thoughts on economic matters. With our philosopher in mind, we created an annotated bibliography and an infographic displaying facts about their life. We also made a 2-3 minute presentation to wrap up the research process and shared it with the class. Finally, to exhibit our work and learning, we held a team-wide exhibition. We dressed up like our philosophers and had discussions with others about our beliefs in our philosopher's eyes. Parents, teachers, and fellow students came to join in on the conversations, and it was a huge success! To see any of the work from this project, look below.
Keeping this in mind, I feel that the HOHAM I used with the most success was intellectual curiosity, because I was able to learn and grow during the research process about Adam Smith.
