Mind Map
The Mind Map was one of the sub-assignments for the Symbolic Silhouette Project. For this piece, we had to represent our interests and memories through symbolic images, with each type of detail of our life being categorized. I separated the basic and unique facts about me into six groups: food, family, music, memories, favorites, and sports. Since this particular type of drawing was called a "Mind Map", I was inspired to sketch my art in the form of streets extending in different directions. Each one of the categories was important, but I think "Family Street" was the most meaningful section for me. I really value my family, (especially since I'm a triplet) and I wanted to show display that importance by placing it at the top of the page. On the image I created, I also listed my favorite foods, which include meat, grapes and ice cream, and some memories that stick with me, which took place in my birthplace of St. Louis, and at my grandma's house among others. I also added my favorite sports (basketball, cross country, golf and tennis,) my favorite music artists, (Drake, Beyonce and Big Sean) and some fun facts about me, (my favorite number is 3).
To your left, you will find my final piece of work. Enjoy! |
