Mini Color Pencil Book
For the Mini Color Pencil Book, we were to explore various concepts related to color, and the design choices involved with it. We investigated the color wheel, and what it meant for colors to be analogous, complimentary, or split complimentary. Additionally, we took a look at the differences between tint and shade, and which colors were primary, secondary or tertiary. Finally, we learned about warm and cool colors, and sketched objects from observations. The Mini Color Pencil Book was designed to help us when it came time to create our Symbolic Silhouettes, providing us with information about color theory to use for our end product.
I thought I did a pretty good job on this assignment, but I feel like I could have put a little more effort into my drawings. I spent so much time on the color wheel and the information aspect of the booklet that I forgot to save some room for the pictures. Sure, I may have included all of the content that I needed to, but it might not have been as aesthetically-pleasing as it could have been. To your right, you can check out the pages of my Mini Color Pencil Book, which you are free to view at your leisure. |
